“FAFSA on the Web,” a series of free financial aid workshops for anyone planning to attend college, will be held on Mondays and Thursdays throughout February, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in Room 111 of the Academic and Administrative Building at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
The purpose of the workshops is to help college-bound students and their parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required by colleges, universities and private career schools to qualify for scholarships, grants and loans. Anyone 23 years old or younger should attend with a parent or guardian, who should bring their completed IRS 1040 tax forms, W-2 forms and any other 2012 financial information. Anyone 24 years or older can attend alone, bringing their own 2012 tax records.
