Bernstein Joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Dr. Daniel Bernstein of Greensburg, Penn., as department head and associate professor of hotel-motel-restaurant management.

Before joining Wor-Wic, Bernstein was a consultant and professor in the hospitality management program at the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. He also taught at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Penn., St. John’s University in Jamaica and Staten Island, N.Y., and at Youngstown (Ohio) State University.

In addition to 30 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education, Bernstein has more than 10 years of direct industry-related experience as a restaurant owner, manager and consultant, and front desk and hotel manager and marketing director.

Bernstein received his bachelor’s degree in English from Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., his master’s in business administration degree in hospitality administration from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn., and his doctoral degree in educational administration from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
