The Wor-Wic Community College Foundation sponsored its fourth annual 5K Run/Walk for Wor-Wic, along with the 2014 Law Enforcement Team Cup Challenge, at the college campus in Salisbury on Saturday.
The Salisbury Police Department won the Law Enforcement Team Cup Challenge for the fourth year in a row.
With a time of 16:05, the overall male winner of the 5K race portion of the event was Nick Hanifee, 22, of Salisbury. The overall female winner was Kate Nichols, 15, of Hebron, with a time of 20:47.
Runners ranged in age from 10 to 66.
Proceeds of almost $16,000 will benefit the students of Wor-Wic.
