Irish-American heritage presentation to be held March 17

In celebration of Irish-American heritage month, a free presentation called “The Irish Experience in the Making of the Irish Immigrant” will be given by Dr. Linda DeRoche, professor of English and American Studies at Wesley College, on Tuesday, March 17, at 7 p.m., in Room 302 of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

A former Fulbright scholar, DeRoche earned her doctorate from the University of Notre Dame and has published books about Mary Higgins Clark, Willa Cather and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Her study of five novels of the Jazz Age will be released in the fall.
