Poet’s talk and reading to be held March 27

In celebration of national poetry month, Shane McCrae will give a poet’s talk on Friday, March 27, from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a reading at 7 p.m., in Room 101 of Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

An assistant professor in the creative writing program at Oberlin (Ohio) College, McCrae is the author of three full-length poetry collections: “Forgiveness Forgiveness,” “Blood” and “Mule.” He has won numerous awards, including a Whiting Writers’ Award and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.

To reserve a seat for the poet’s talk, email Adam Tavel at atavel@worwic.edu by Monday, March 23. Reservations are not needed for the poetry reading at 7 p.m.
