Kate Campbell Stevenson
In celebration of women’s history month, Kate Campbell Stevenson will provide an artistic representation of historical and contemporary women during a free performance called “Forging Frontiers: Women Leaders in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)” that will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
During the performance, Stevenson will portray Rachel Carson and Louise Arner Boyd, as well as NASA engineers, robotics experts and other current role models. Carson was a biologist, environmentalist and author of numerous works, including “The Sea Around Us” and “Silent Spring.” An explorer, Boyd financed, planned and led seven arctic expeditions in the 1920s and 1930s.
Stevenson has starred in more than 30 Broadway musicals, as well as in radio and television commercials. She combines 25 years of professional experience in music, theater and education to create one-woman historical performances.
This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
