Twenty-three Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Glen Ansted, Elizabeth Espinoza Fonseca, Evan Gottlieb, Jerred A. Johnson and Kirsten Elizabeth Jones of Berlin, Jenna Drewer of Crisfield, Elisha Raizen of Hebron, Daniel Townsend of Ocean City, Mary C. Knaub of Parsonsburg, Hope Bowden and Erik D. Voss of Pocomoke City, Joshua Berley of Princess Anne, Josephine M. Anderton, Sungryung Kim, Amanda Posey, Laura Ruth Pryor, Jessica M. Rickels, Anthony Russell and Lucy Seagraves of Salisbury, Katie Lyn Cherrix and Justin D. Taylor of Snow Hill, McKayla C. Pinchak of Westover and Jacqui Ardis of Laurel, Del.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Lynn M. Derickson, associate professor of nursing, Burma R. Freeman, assistant professor of physical science, Terry Thompson, professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, assistant professor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, professor of nursing.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for community college students. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
