The Wor-Wic Community College Foundation sponsored its sixth annual 5K Run/Walk for Wor-Wic, along with the 2016 Law Enforcement Team Cup Challenge, at the college campus in Salisbury on Saturday.
The Salisbury Police Department took the Law Enforcement Team Cup back from last year’s winners, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.
With a time of 16:39, the overall male winner of the 5K race portion of the event was Nick Hanifee, 24, of Salisbury. The overall female winner was Kate Nichols, 17, of Hebron, with a time of 20:51.
Runners ranged in age from 8 to 70.
Proceeds of $25,000 will benefit the students of Wor-Wic.
