In celebration of women’s history month, Dr. Sam Scott, lead organizer of the 1 Year to Empowerment group aimed at boosting the self-esteem of local teenage girls, will give a presentation on Tuesday, March 14, at 5 p.m., in Room 103 of Fulton-Owen Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
The 1 Year to Empowerment Program is a year-long program designed to enable teenage girls on the Eastern Shore to make healthy choices, trusting friendships and attainable goals.
