In response to customer demand, the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is offering a course for computer users who are switching from the Windows operating system to the Mac operating system.
The course, called “Getting Started with MacOS,” will be offered in two different sections. The first offering is scheduled on two Tuesdays, May 23 and 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and the second will be held on Thursdays, June 1 and 8, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at the college campus.
Students will learn how to accomplish the same things in MacOS that they have been doing in Windows. Topics will include finding files and folders, using Launchpad to manage and view programs and applications, navigating the dock, the desktop and the Safari web browser, as well as how to personalize settings using system preferences.
