The Wor-Wic Community College Foundation held its seventh annual 5K Run/Walk for Wor-Wic, along with the 2017 Law Enforcement Team Cup Challenge, at the college campus in Salisbury on Saturday.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office took the Law Enforcement Team Cup back from last year’s winners, the Salisbury Police Department.

With a time of 19:38, the overall male winner of the 5K race portion of the event was Cole Hentschel, 18, of Salisbury. The overall female winner was Kate Nichols, 18, of Hebron, with a time of 21:24.

Runners ranged in age from 7 to 69.

Proceeds of almost $23,000 will benefit the students of Wor-Wic.
