An information and application session for high school seniors and their parents interested in the Wicomico Economic Impact Scholarship will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 6 p.m., in Room 101 of Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Rt. 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
Wicomico County will pay the Wor-Wic tuition and fees for seniors who are graduating in the 2017-2018 academic year, as well as prospective students who have completed a GED since Sept. 4. Applicants must have been Wicomico County residents for the past two years and have an annual family income of $75,000 or less. Scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.0 grade point average while taking at least 12 credit hours per term.
Information will be provided about the requirements of the scholarship and attendees will be able to get help with the application process. The scholarship program experience will be discussed by a current participating student. Information about program expectations will be shared by a coach, and those attending will also have the opportunity to tour the Wor-Wic campus.
