Jail and correctional officers graduate

Twenty-two jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties graduated in the 101st entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Kristin Heiser, Wicomico County assistant state’s attorney.

Donald Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the ESCJA, and Carl L. Crumbacker Sr., ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony. Mahlon R. Allebach of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections was the class speaker.

In addition to Allebach, graduates included Robert L. Beebe, Donald K. Carrigan, Vonda T. Crippen, Phillip D. Evans, DCheryl Y. Glover, Jesse P. Pellegrin, Brieanna N. Polk and Brittney M. Taylor from the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Walter L. Donoway of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center, Milton Z. Hitch of the Division of Capital Construction and Facility Maintenance at the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI), Antonio B. Collins of Maryland Correctional Enterprises at ECI, India R. Banks, Allen M. Curry and Raven M. Waters of ECI, Darrius J. Lyons, Tymonica A. Rideout and Karen A. Taylor of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections, Douglas E. Cephas Jr. and Andrew J. Minner of the Talbot County Department of Corrections, and Trevor B. Hancock and Joshua B. Scott of the Caroline County Department of Corrections.
