Interested in becoming part of a health care team? You can earn your certification at Wor-Wic as both a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and a geriatric nursing assistant (GNA).
CNAs play a key role in the delivery of daily patient care. They feed and bathe patients, take vital signs, create reports for nurses and doctors and much more. Training to become a CNA is a combination of learning basic nursing principles combined with hands-on clinical training.
There are several requirements for those interested in registering for CNA courses, including a drug screen, medical clearance, placement testing, background check and attending an information session.
Before you can complete your course application, you must complete one of the following information sessions, which are offered via Zoom:
W 3/6 10–11 a.m.
W 4/3 10–11 a.m.
W 4/17 10–11 a.m.
F 5/10 10–11 a.m.
F 5/17 2–3 p.m.
F 6/7 10–11 a.m.
F 6/14 2-3 p.m.
T 8/6 2–3 p.m.
TH 8/15 2–3 p.m.
W 8/28 10-11 a.m.
